Virginia Giuffre has been released from hospital one week after she announced she had four days to live.
Ms Giuffre, 41, was due to appear in court in Western Australia on Wednesday to answer charges related to allegations of breaching a restraining order put in place amid allegations of family violence.
But she has kept a low profile since leaving the hospital through the back door on Monday where she had been treated for what she claimed was “renal failure” following a car crash.
Dini von Mueffling, Ms Giuffre’s US-based representative, said that Ms Giuffre was “slowly improving”.
Ms Giuffre, a high-profile victim of Jeffrey Epstein who accused Prince Andrew of sexually assaulting her as a teenager, shared a photograph last week of her bruised face and claimed she had been in a vehicle that was hit by a school bus in a rural town north of Perth.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure,” she wrote on March 30. “They’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.
“I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.”
Karrie Louden, a criminal barrister, said on Wednesday that Ms Giuffre “wasn’t required to appear in court today” and would soon provide an update on her health after leaving hospital.
