At least 53 people have been wounded in an overnight Russian missile attack on Kyiv.
City authorities said houses and a hospital were damaged by missile debris after being shot down by anti-air defences at 3am.
More than 20 civilians have been taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
Ukraine’s air force said it had shot down all 10 ballistic missiles that were launched on the capital, as well as 10 drones.
“The effectiveness of Western weapons in the hands of Ukrainian soldiers cannot be doubted,” said Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Volodymyr Zelensky.
