Russia has launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine’s energy sites, according to reports.
Heavy explosions were heard around civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia on Thursday night, while power outages sweeped through Odesa after about 18 blasts.
The barrage in Odesa injured at least three people and damaged a high-rise apartment building and a shopping centre, the regional governor said.
The Sudzha gas pipeline near the Kursk-Sumy border – through which Russia sends gas to Europe – was reportedly also struck.
It comes despite Putin telling Donald Trump earlier this week that he would to stop striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as part of a roadmap to a possible peace deal.
Attacks on Ukraine’s energy sites have continued in recent days.
