Video footage shows the moment a Himars strike destroyed a key bridge in the Kursk region of Russia.
The bridge - which crosses the River Seym - links areas of Kursk that are controlled by Russian forces.
Open-source intelligence analysts said the attack destroyed the bridge and has effectively cut off Russian troops in the town of Glushkovo.
Images show the bridge snapped in two with the middle section jutting out of the river below.
Multiple Russian Telegram channels confirmed the strike on Friday evening, with one saying the bridge’s destruction would force Russian reinforcements on a dangerous detour.
The Russian foreign ministry later said that the attack was carried out with Western-supplied Himars missiles and killed volunteers trying to evacuate civilians.
