More than 30 flood warnings are in force amid forecasted heavy rain across the UK, as commuters face icy conditions on Monday.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for rain is in place across parts of southern England, south-east Wales, Devon, Somerset and the Midlands, which will last until 6pm on Monday.
The Environment Agency has so far issued 36 flood warnings and more than 115 flood alerts, as heavy rain is causing river levels to rise.
Motorists have been warned of “very treacherous icy conditions” after another night of sub-zero temperatures in many parts of the UK.
Simon Williams, an RAC Breakdown spokesman, said northern parts of the country could be facing an “ice rink Monday as snow refreezes overnight”.
A man believed to be homeless was found dead in Manchester city centre on Sunday, after another homeless man died on the streets of Beeston, Nottinghamshire on Friday.
It comes as Saturday night saw the coldest temperatures since March, with -12.5C recorded in Altnaharra, Scotland.
