Heat health alerts have been upgraded from yellow to amber across most of England with temperatures are expected to reach 32C this week.

The UK Health Security Agency has warned the NHS will be under “significant” pressure, especially among those aged 65 or above and those with health conditions.

The warning covers most of England, apart from the North East, from midday on Tuesday until 9pm on Sunday. The North East faces a yellow warning.
