A dozen British soldiers have been injured in a six-car pile up in Estonia.
Eight of the most seriously wounded personnel were airlifted back to Britain, and three remain in hospital.
The troops had been deployed as part of Operation Carbit to strengthen Nato’s eastern flank against Russian aggression.
A convoy of three Army minibuses was involved in the crash on Friday afternoon.
The troops had been travelling on a motorway in blizzard conditions in the northern county of Ida-Viru – around 20 miles from Russia.
