Commuters face further disruption this August as the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) walkout for two further dates.

The union, which represents rail employees such as ticket office staff and train guards, is planning walkouts that will affect the August Bank holiday weekend. 

It follows a train driver overtime ban between Monday August 7 to Saturday August 12. July was also blighted by travel chaos, when 20,000 rail workers walked out for three days in their prolonged pay dispute.
