Times Square is on lockdown as police investigate a bomb scare.

Officers are responding to reports of a suspicious package left outside a police facility at 10.32am on Monday between West 43rd Street and 7th Avenue.

“Upon arrival, officers observed a suspicious package in front of the New York Police Department facility”, a New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesman said.

They added: “NYPD Emergency Service Unit and Bomb Squad were requested and did respond to the location.

“There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.”
