Three people are in hospital after a car crashed into a stake house in Haymarket in central London.

The Metropolitan Police said its officers were called to reports of a crash near a branch of the Angus Steakhouse restaurant chain at around 6.50pm on Tuesday.

Witnesses reported that the car mounted the pavement and then collided with the Angus Steak House.

The driver, a passenger and a pedestrian, were taken to hospital.

There are no reports of any other serious injuries and it is not being treated as terror-related, the force said.

Videos posted on social media show dozens of people gathered around the smashed up vehicle after the crash. Shattered glass can be seen around the car.
