Multiple deaths have been reported in Texas after heavy rain caused flash flooding.

Search teams used boats to conduct rescues on Friday as fast-moving water threatened riverfront homes and swept away summer camp grounds.

As much as 10 inches of heavy rain fell in just a few hours overnight in central Kerr County, causing flash flooding of the Guadalupe River, which rose 22ft overnight, according to MailOnline.

Parents were desperately searching for children feared missing in the flash flooding, the website reported.

Judge Rob Kelly, the chief elected official in the county, confirmed some had died following the flooding, although the exact number was not clear.
