Suella Braverman has called for the Home Office to investigate how pro-Palestine groups were able to begin organising protests while the Oct 7 massacre in Israel was still going on.

The former home secretary made the intervention after it emerged the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) asked the Metropolitan Police for permission to hold a demonstration while Israelis were still being killed.

When PSC spoke to the police, Hamas had taken hostages and killed hundreds of people across towns and villages next to the Gaza Strip. Videos had also circulated on social media showing terrorists taking Israeli hostages to Gaza on motorbikes.

Mrs Braverman told The Telegraph: “We need to know what these groups knew and when did they know it.

“What information did they have access to? And were they in any way connected to Hamas terrorists?

“There needs to be a full Home Office investigation into these organisations. How did they mobilise so quickly? They have to be investigated properly.”

At 12.50pm on the day of the terror attack, a PSC organiser told police the group planned to march through London on the following Saturday, Oct 14, a freedom of information request published on the force’s website revealed on Thursday. It is unknown who submitted the request.
