Police raided a singer’s home after the body of a teenage girl he may have known was found in his car.
Police searched Hollywood Hills home of D4vd, an artist whose real name is David Anthony Burke, on Thursday as authorities investigate the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who vanished from Lake Elsinore, California, last year.
The body of Rivas, who was 13 at the time of her disappearance, was discovered on Sept 8, dismembered and wrapped in plastic inside an impounded Tesla registered to Mr Burke, 20.
The artist has since cancelled the final leg of his tour in San Francisco and Los Angeles, TMZ reported.
It comes after his music label cancelled the release of a deluxe version of his album, Withered, and a host of other promotional events.
The rapper rose to fame when his song Romantic Homicide began trending on TikTok in 2022. The song has been used more than 200,000 times on the streaming platform.
Since Rivas’s body was identified, her brother has claimed that she was in a relationship with the rapper.
