Police have arrested a man in connection of suspected animal abuse after doorbell camera footage showed a person kicking a dog while on a walk in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Suffolk Constabulary released footage on Friday in a bid to identify the suspect. Later on Friday, the force published an update to say that an arrest had been made, linked to the incident on 3 March. It added that the dog had been checked and was not injured.
In the footage, a man is seen stumbling over a dog before kicking it at 7.48pm. The dog squeals after being kicked and is then picked up by a man as he continues to walk in Northfield View estate.
Suffolk Constabulary added that it would like to thank members of the public for their help in identifying the suspect.
