Rosie O’Donnell has apologised for calling the Minneapolis school gunman a “Maga person”.

O’Donnell said Robin Westman, the transgender gunman who killed two children and injured 18 people attending a start-of-term Mass last week, was “a white guy, Republican, Maga person ... white supremacist”.

“The NRA [National Rifle Association] is a terrorist organisation. And they have been for many years,” she added.

“When is enough enough, America? Haven’t you had enough of Donald Trump? The Heritage Foundation? All their bulls--t? He’s their puppet … but guess what? It’s coming to an end.”
