Robbie Keane and his wife have won a £300,000 court fight to evict a property mogul and her drummer “pal” out of their £3.8 million family home.
The former Spurs and Ireland striker and his wife Claudine have been locked in an emotional fight for three years with Sandi St Paul, 74, and her friend, Stewart Lawrence, a musician, after renting out their mansion in Hertfordshire in December 2019.
The footballer and his wife – who let their house after Mr Keane secured coaching jobs in Middlesbrough and Ireland – became increasingly at odds with Ms St Paul and Mr Lawrence, a former drummer for the musician Donovan, after rent payments stopped in April 2020.
This week, the Keanes told Central London County Court that the pair owe them nearly £300,000 in back rent, adding that Mrs Keane, 42, had been reduced to tears and “begging” for access to her home during the row.
