The publisher of Roald Dahl has announced that it will produce unedited versions of his stories following a backlash over changes to his work. 

The Daily Telegraph revealed last week that Puffin, the publisher of Roald Dahl, had made hundreds of changes to his original texts, with the approval of the Roald Dahl Story Company.

Now, the company has announced that it will be releasing "The Roald Dahl Classic Collection", to keep the author’s "classic texts in print".

References to weight, height, mental health, gender and skin colour have been removed, and new passages added by the publishers to minimise offence.

The review began in 2020 when the company was still run by the Dahl family, and concluded last year after the estate was sold to Netflix.
