Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke stormed off stage during a solo show in Melbourne after being goaded by a pro-Palestinian protester.
Footage from concertgoers showed a man in the crowd on Wednesday repeatedly heckling Yorke about what he called the “Israeli genocide in Gaza”.
While not all the words can be heard over the sound of boos from the crowd, he asks the singer to condemn the death toll in the war-torn enclave, saying “half of them were children”.
Yorke, visibly furious, responded: “Come up here and say that. Right here, come on. Hop up on the f---ing stage and say what you wanna say. Don’t stand there like a coward, come here and say it.
“You want to piss on everybody’s night?” he added as the crowd cheered in response.
The protester hit back by yelling out: “How many dead children will it take for you to condemn the genocide in Gaza?”
Immediately, Yorke took off his guitar strap and said: “OK you do, see you later then” as he strutted off the stage.
