Decomposing remains were found inside a Tesla belonging to a singer most well known for the song Romantic Homicide.
The body, which had reportedly been dismembered and wrapped in plastic, was discovered at an impound lot in Los Angeles inside a vehicle belonging to David Anthony Burke, 20.
The singer, whose stage name is D4vd, first shot to fame when his song Romantic Homicide began trending on TikTok.
The song has been used more than 200,000 times on the streaming platform.
The identity of the victim, who had been in the boot for several days after the car was towed, has not been confirmed.
D4vd, who has two million followers on Instagram, was due to perform in Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of his Withered world tour, which began last month.
