A red squirrel appears to be enjoying woodland flowers in a stunning image captured in Cheshire.

Mike Seuters, 69, took the steady shot despite having Parkinson’s disease.

The photographer was diagnosed with the tremor-inducing disorder in 2020 but has not let the condition affect his passion. 

Red squirrels are an exciting and increasingly rare sight, with only 120,000 thought to be left in the UK.

The decline was caused by the arrival of the grey squirrel in England in the 19th century, whose population is now around 2.7 million.
