Johnny Depp has been pictured with long, grey hair in the first image from his comeback Hollywood film.
The film marks Depp’s first time working with a major studio since his ex-wife Amber Heard accused him of abuse in 2018 which led to two defamation trials, one in the US and one in the UK.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 61, strongly denied her claims and won a $15 million (£11.3 million) judgment against Heard in the US trial, which took place in Virginia in 2022. Depp’s damages were later reduced to $10.35 million. Herd was also awarded $2 million for her defamation counterclaim.
In “Day Drinker” Depp will play a mysterious guest on a private yacht who finds himself entangled with a criminal, played by Penelope Cruz.
The film is directed by Marc Webb, whose previous films include 500 Days of Summer and recent box office flop Snow White.
