A dancer who unfurled a Palestine flag at the Royal Opera House has been told he will never work there again, he claims.
Daniel Perry, who The Telegraph revealed was a “queer dance artist” who attended a £48,000-a-year private school, staged the protest during a curtain call on July 19.
Footage from the end of Il Trovatore showed an off-stage figure trying and failing to wrestle the Palestinian flag from Perry.
Insiders claim this was Oliver Mears, the director of opera at the Royal Opera House, who then had an exchange of words with Perry.
