Sean “Diddy” Combs’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura will be cross-examined by the music mogul’s legal team in court this morning.
Ventura, who was in a 10-year relationship with Combs from 2008, has spent two days giving evidence in the 55-year-old’s sex-trafficking trial, telling the court she was forced to participate in four-day “freak-off” sex parties.
On Wednesday, she said Combs raped her after a dinner to mark the end of their relationship in 2018, and had tried to kill herself after suffering years of psychological and violent abuse.
The Manhattan jury was shown still images taken from footage of the “freak-offs”, which Ventura said Combs had used to “blackmail” her.
The singer was scared he would use the footage to humiliate her and destroy her career, she testified.
Combs is charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex-trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all counts, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, and could face life in prison.
He has pleaded not guilty on all counts.
