Elon Musk has called for the removal of judges who blocked Italy’s plan to send migrants to an offshore camp in Albania, sparking a political row in which he was accused of interfering in Italy’s affairs.

The world’s richest man was commenting on Monday’s ruling by the court of Rome that stipulated that the latest batch of migrants, a group of seven Bangladeshis and Egyptians, could not be kept in the Balkan country.

Within hours, the migrants were brought by ship to Italy and the case was referred to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

“These judges need to go,” Mr Musk wrote on X.
