Israeli ministers were met with jeers and heckles at the funerals of 12 children killed in a suspected Hezbollah rocket attack on Saturday.
Israel has accused the Iran-backed group of killing the children and teenagers in a rocket attack on a football pitch in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, but Hezbollah has denied responsibility.
On Sunday, thousands of mourners at the funeral in northern Israel’s Majdal Shams grew angry when Israeli government ministers arrived, fearing they would try to politicise the event.
Nir Barkat, the housing minister, Idit Silman, the environmental protection minister, and Bezalel Smotrich, the controversial Right-wing finance minister, were subjected to abuse and jeers.
