A mother shot dead her terminally ill husband and two of her children before turning the gun on herself, a post-mortem has concluded.
The bodies of Emily Long, 34, her husband Ryan Long, 48, and their children Parker, eight, and Ryan, six, were found by police in their New Hampshire home on Monday.
Their youngest child, who is three years old and has not been named, was found unharmed.
A post-mortem determined that Long, documented her struggles with depression on social media after her husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, died by suicide from a single shot to the head caused by a handgun.
Her children, Parker and Ryan, also died from a single gunshot wound, while her husband died from multiple gunshot wounds. Their deaths have been ruled homicides.
Long, who described herself as a “Brain Cancer Wife” on TikTok, expressed fears about bringing up her children as a single parent and spoke of her “guilt” for not seeking psychological help.
