Good evening. At least six Britons have been killed in the Hamas attacks on Israel according to a statement from the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Israel have denied a ceasefire in South Gaza — the Rafah border remains closed despite a US agreement to allow Palestinians to cross into Egypt.

Rishi Sunak has announced that at least six British citizens were killed in the Hamas attacks on Israel. In a statement to the House of Commons this afternoon, the Prime Minister also said a further 10 Britons were missing, and called for the “immediate release of all hostages”. Elsewhere, Grant Feller speaks on the importance of voicing our support for the Jewish community in Britain.

The only non-Israeli controlled crossing out of the Gaza Strip remained closed on Monday morning despite an agreement to allow civilians to leave the besieged territory. Thousands of Palestinians with dual nationality gathered at the border, after the US announced deal to allow foreign passport holders to cross into Egypt.

Israel has alleged that Hamas terrorists used first aid kits distributed by the United Nations during their raid. The Israel Defence Forces published images of blue aid kits emblazoned with the Unicef logo next to vehicles used by the Islamist group in the massacre of more than 1,300 Israelis on October 7. The allegation comes amid a debate over the continuation of humanitarian aid shipments to the Gaza Strip.
