Israel has dropped leaflets on Gaza warning residents to leave before Donald Trump forces them out as fresh air strikes reportedly kill more than 50.

The documents said: “The world map will not change if all the people of Gaza vanish before the implementation of Trump’s forced plan – which will impose your forced displacement whether you like it or not.”

They were referring to the US president’s vow that the US would “take over” Gaza and resettle Palestinians elsewhere while the Strip was transformed into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

On Thursday, Israel said it was making a “final appeal” for people who wished to receive aid to co-operate.

The leaflets, which appear to have been scattered around Gaza in the last 24 hours, are headed with the logo of Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service.

Written in Arabic below photographs of Benjamin Netanyahu and Mr Trump, the message concludes: “No one will feel for you, and no one will ask about you. You are left alone to face your inevitable fate.

“Neither the US nor Europe cares about Gaza. The game is almost over, and only a little remains. Whoever wants to save themselves before it’s too late, we are here to stay until Judgment Day.”

The chilling warning came as Israel launched a third night of air strikes on the enclave, having begun renewed ground operations on Wednesday.

At least 55 people were killed, according to the Hamas-run civil defence agency. It is not currently possible to verify the figure.
