The controversial Irish rap band Kneecap hit out at the SNP leader during a gig in Glasgow.
The Belfast trio were dumped from the city’s TRNSMT music festival after John Swinney, the Scottish First Minister, said their appearance would be “unacceptable”.
It came after footage emerged from a 2023 gig that appeared to show a band member saying: “The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP.”
Mr Swinney said the comments were “beyond the pale”, and Kneecap were later axed from the bill.
According to BBC Scotland, Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, addressed the comments 10 minutes into the gig at Glasgow’s O2 Academy.
He asked the crowd: “What’s your First Minister’s name?” before swearing and adding: “They stopped us playing TRNSMT, but they can’t stop us playing Glasgow.”
