A man has appeared in court accused of maliciously damaging property at Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf course.
Kieran Robson, 33, of Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, appeared in private at Ayr sheriff court on Monday and was charged with malicious mischief.
He made no plea and was released on bail pending a further court date.
In a post on his Truth Social account on Sunday, Mr Trump said: “I was just informed by Prime Minister Starmer of the United Kingdom that they caught the terrorists who attacked the beautiful Turnberry, in Scotland.”
Mr Trump added: “They did serious damage, and will hopefully be treated harshly. You cannot let things like this attack happen, and I greatly appreciate the work of Prime Minister Starmer and UK law enforcement.”
