Nearly ninety British citizens will be allowed to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing on Saturday.
The Palestinian border authority published a new list naming people allowed to exit into Egypt on Saturday morning, after about 100 British citizens were listed as eligible on Friday.
Eighty eight British passport holders are on the list today.
Around 200 British nationals in Gaza have so far registered with the authorities, and along with their dependents the total number of people the UK is trying to secure passage for is thought to be in the low hundreds.
James Cleverly, the Foreign Secretary, said on Saturday that the UK is trying to keep the border open as he welcomed the “positive news” of getting a “number” of British nationals through the crossing.
