Ghislaine Maxwell said she has no incriminating evidence against Donald Trump or Bill Clinton during interviews with a top Department of Justice (DOJ) official.
The department released transcripts of the interviews as it tries to kill off conspiracy theories that it was protecting a cabal of powerful paedophiles.
Maxwell said her ex-boyfriend, the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, did not operate a “client list” or blackmail programme.
She confirmed meeting Mr Trump around 1990, at a time when Robert Maxwell, her newspaper magnate father, was the owner of the New York Daily News.
“I may have met Donald Trump at that time, because my father was friendly with him and liked him very much,” Maxwell said, according to the transcript.
