Reform UK’s planned rise to power is a “six year project”, the party’s deputy leader said after Nigel Farage unveiled his “contract” with the nation.
David Bull conceded Reform was not in a position to win power in 2024 but suggested it is targeting an election victory at the next contest in 2029.
It was suggested to Mr Bull that Reform’s manifesto was not “serious” and was designed to “influence the political weather” rather than being an actual plan for government.
He told Sky News: “I think we have been really clear, this is a six year project and Nigel has been clear about that.
“But also we are doing things rather differently. We are an insurgent party, we are building this from the ground up and actually the sense of excitement around the country is palpable.”
