A ship belonging to Greta Thunberg’s aid flotilla has breached an Israeli blockage to reach Gaza’s territorial waters.

Ship tracking data, belonging to the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), shows the Greek-flagged vessel Mikeno eight nautical miles from the coast of the Palestinian territory.

It is unclear what has happened to the ship, which lost signal at 7am on Thursday morning.

The caption of the Mikeno is understood to be Muhammad Kuchuktigin, a Turkish national. Reports claim he managed to outmanoeuvre Israeli naval ships to break through the blockade.

Footage of the Mikeno shows graffiti reading: “Gaza, we see you, we hear you, we’re coming”.
