Alex Scott's appearance on Football Focus this lunchtime is in doubt, as the mutiny over Gary Lineker being forced off air in an impartiality row deepens.
The former Arsenal women's player, who is the main presenter of the BBC One analysis show, has reportedly signalled to bosses that she wishes to pull out from presenting Saturday's episode.
It comes as the BBC is in crisis over its decision to force Lineker off air as the Match of the Day host following days of pressure over his tweet comparing the Government's new migration policy to Nazi Germany.
A mass boycott of pundits, presenters and commentators in "solidarity" with Lineker, including mainstays Ian Wright and Alan Shearer, is forcing Saturday night's MOTD to air as only matches for the first time in its 59-year history.
