Vince McMahon, the former WWE chief executive, is accused of causing a multi-car pile-up on the day Hulk Hogan died, according to state police.

Mr McMahon destroyed his Bentley in the crash, which took place a few hours before TMZ reported the death of the wrestling star.

Hogan, who made his name in Mr McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) company, died following a cardiac arrest last Thursday.

Mr McMahon, who is separated from his wife, Linda, President Donald Trump’s education secretary, was cited for reckless driving and following too closely.
