A British festival cut a band’s set after they led chants of “free Palestine” and unfurled a Palestinian flag on stage.

The Mary Wallopers had begun their set at Victorious Festival, Portsmouth, on Friday, when their microphones were cut off.

In a post on Instagram, the band said: “Just got cut off at Victorious Festival for having a Palestinian flag on the stage.

“We’ve been doing this for 6 years now, and this has never happened before. Free Palestine all day, every day.”
