Kai Trump shared a behind-the-scenes look at her grandfather’s inauguration in which she fretted about dancing for a crowd and staged a photoshoot in front of the Oval Office.

Donald Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter told her 785,000 YouTube subscribers how the inauguration schedule had left her feeling “exhausted” while sharing hotel room footage of make-up artists and hair stylists preparing her for the glare of the world’s media.

Filming herself as she walks down a corridor, Ms Trump tells the camera: “Today my grandpa becomes president of the United States again.”

She describes the week as an “experience of a lifetime”. Asked what it’s like seeing her grandfather on stage as the 47th US president, she says: “To me he’s just like a normal grandpa.”

The myriad of engagements that come along with being the granddaughter of the president of the United States took its toll with the teenager making several references to being tired, or “cooked”.

“I’m so tired, I did not drink any water, just energy drinks and coffee and I’m exhausted, I slept like three hours last night”, she says.
