Sean “Diddy” Combs’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is back in the witness box to give evidence as his sex-trafficking trial continues.
Ventura, who was in a 10-year relationship with the music mogul until 2018, will continue her questioning by the prosecution and may be cross-examined by Combs’s defence team.
She is expected to address CCTV footage of Combs beating her in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, according to The New York Times.
On Tuesday, the singer, who is eight months’ pregnant, told Manhattan federal court her ex-boyfriend forced her into four-day drug-fuelled sex parties known as “freak-offs”.
The sessions became a full-time job, she said, and it took her days to recover from the toll of alcohol, drugs and sex with strangers while Combs watched.
Throughout their relationship, Ventura said, Combs would physically and psychologically abuse her.
“He would bash me on my head, knock me over, drag me, kick me, stomp me in the head if I was down,” she said.
Combs is charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex-trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all counts, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years, and could face life in prison.
He has pleaded not guilty on all counts.
