David Beckham’s name could be used to sell products including curtains and nappies in Russia after a company managing his brand successfully applied for trademark rights.
An application was filed by DB Ventures last summer and approved last week, according to paperwork published in Russia.
It grants trademark rights for the former England captain’s name to be used to sell dozens of products in Russia under the Beckham brand, such as yoga mats, pet blankets, bed linen and sleeping bags.
Other items include Beckham-branded beer mug mats, nappies and “loose cotton fabric for making cheese”.
