The widow of Charlie Kirk declared to the crowd at his memorial service on Sunday afternoon that she had forgiven his killer.
In an emotional speech at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium in Arizona, Erika Kirk said through tears: “I forgive him because it was what Christ did and it’s what Charlie would do.”
“The answer we know from the Gospel is always and always love, love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us,” she added, pledging to continue her husband’s work running conservative non-profit, Turning Point USA, and visiting college campuses.
“My husband Charlie wanted to save young men, like the one that took his life.”
