Carrie Johnson has shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the final stages of her pregnancy with her newly-born daughter.

Boris Johnson’s wife announced the birth of Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson, her fourth child with the former prime minister, on Saturday.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the 37-year-old shared photographs of herself weeks before giving birth, despite having admitted she feels “awkward” about having her picture taken.

The photos, shot in different parts of her house and garden, show Mrs Johnson playing with five-year-old son Wilf and three-year-old daughter Romy.
