Bruce Willis’ ‘brain is failing him’, says wife

Bruce Willis’ wife said his “brain is failing” three years after his dementia diagnosis.

Emma Heming Willis broke down in tears as she revealed that there are only “moments” when the actor behaves as he used to.

Mr Wills’ family revealed in 2023 that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which causes behaviour changes.

The 70-year-old Die Hard actor was forced to retire from acting in 2023 after a career spanning more than 70 films.

Ms Heming Willis, 49, who shares an 11-year-old and 13-year-old daughter with Mr Willis, told ABC News that she first began to notice the symptoms when her husband became withdrawn.

She said: “For someone who was very talkative and very engaged he was just a little more quiet.

“When the family would get together he would melt a little bit”.
