An eight-year-old boy survived five days in the wild surrounded by lions and elephants by eating wild fruit and digging wells to access drinking water, according to a Zimbabwe MP.
Tinotenda Pundu stumbled into the “perilous” Matusadona game park, which is 14 miles from his home in the northern Zimbabwe town of Kariba.
He spent five days sleeping on a “rocky perch”, surrounded by “roaring lions” and elephants, according to Mutsa Murombedzi, the local MP.
Matusadona game park previously hosted the second-highest proportion of lions in Africa and at least 40 remain in the wild.
