Joe Biden and Donald Trump are both claiming credit for securing a ceasefire in Gaza, despite the president claiming they spoke as “one team” to deliver the deal.

In a rare display of harmony between the warring president and president-elect, the pair’s teams worked together to deliver the deal between Hamas and Israel, according to Mr Biden.

But the sportsmanship was short-lived, with Mr Trump suggesting that peace was delivered as a result of his “historic” election victory.
