Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican singer, will headline the Super Bowl half-time show despite boycotting the US on his tour because of Donald Trump’s immigration policy.
The NFL announced the rapper will perform at the biggest event in the US sporting calendar in February in Santa Clara, California.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” the star, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said.
He added: “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown... this is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
