A laptop computer abandoned at a repair shop by Hunter Biden, the one containing all those salacious details about the family’s international business scheming as well as lurid images of sex acts, has been in the possession of the FBI for several years now.
The bureau obtained it, through a subpoena, from repairman John Paul Mac Isaac, with whom Hunter Biden left it for repairs, and then never claimed it.
It’s the same computer that dozens of intelligence community “experts” falsely claimed was Russian disinformation during the 2020 presidential election. A survey showed that that false portrayal probably gave the White House to Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump.
Now it’s in the news again, with a demand from Mac Isaac that the FBI return it to him.
Just the News reports that Hunter Biden is suing Mac Isaac for revealing “private information” from the laptop, and Rudy Giuliani, too.
Lately, lawyers for Hunter Biden have questioned whether it even exists.
But Mac Isaac has subpoenaed the FBI, demanding the bureau give back the laptop, a related hard drive and other data.
Just the News reports it obtained a copy of a subpoena from the Superior Court of Delaware that explains Mac Isaac needs the device as evidence in his lawsuit against CNN, Politico and Hunter Biden alleging he has been defamed.
“Specifically, the evidence demand requests the return of ‘Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Computer (‘MacBook’); Serial Number FVFXC2MMHV29 obtained from John Paul Mac Isaac via grand jury subpoena on December 9, 2019′ as well as ‘Western Digital (external hard drive) (‘External Hard Drive’); Serial Number WX21A19ATFF3 obtained from John Paul Mac Isaac via grand jury subpoena on December 9, 2019,’” the report explains.
It also seeks documentation relating to the authentication of the laptop.
The report said the laptop’s contents were “chronicled in a best-selling book by New York Post columnist Miranda Devine titled ‘Laptop from Hell.’”
Just the News said while leftists were claiming it was all disinformation, actually the FBI had confirmed it had belonged to Hunter Biden and had not been altered.
And the Director of National Intelligence determined the laptop was not part of a foreign influence operation.
And that letter claiming it was “Russian disinformation”?
That was “organized by former Acting CIA Director Mike Morell, who was prodded to action by then Biden-campaign official and now Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Morell admitted in testimony to Congress that he was simply trying to help Joe Biden by giving him a ‘talking point’ during the election debate and had no concrete evidence to suggest Russians were involved.”
It likely will be key to multiple lawsuits, including Mac Isaac’s claim of defamation against Hunter Biden, and Hunter Biden’s responding lawsuit over the dissemination of personal data from an “alleged laptop.”
Mac Isaac said he obtained the information from Biden’s laptop legally and has said that Biden himself dropped it off in April 2019 and never returned to claim it. Mac Isaac has said he waited 90 days and then considered it abandoned.
