The woman who won a $5 million judgment this week against former president Donald Trump for sexual abuse is considering suing him again for comments he made during his town hall on CNN this week.

E. Jean Carroll, who a New York jury this week said was sexually assaulted and defamed by Trump, may pursue another lawsuit after the president dismissed her claims on Wednesday.

“Everything’s on the table, obviously, and we have to give serious consideration to it,” Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan said regarding another lawsuit. “We have to weigh the various pros and cons and we’ll come to a decision in the next day or so, probably.”

The jury found Trump liable on Tuesday for sexually abusing Carroll in the 1990s and awarded her $5 million in damages, a decision Trump is appealing. Carroll is pursuing a second lawsuit over comments Trump made when the story first surfaced in 2019.

The former president during the town hall called Carroll a “whack job” and insisted her claims are false.

“This is a fake story. Made-up story,” Trump said. “I have no idea who the hell she is. She’s a whack job.”

Some of his remarks were met with laughter from the audience. “What kind of a woman meets somebody and brings them up, and within minutes you’re playing hanky-panky in a dressing room,” Trump said.

Carroll called the comments “just stupid.” “It’s just disgusting, vile, foul, it wounds people,” Carroll said Thursday.

The town hall, which drew high viewership for the network, was met with criticism from liberals for giving Trump a platform.
