Former President Trump’s legal battles had a split-screen moment Thursday, as high-stakes hearings in his two state criminal cases collided.

Trump joined his lawyers in New York, where a judge has allowed his hush money case to proceed to trial starting March 25 just minutes after that hearing began. That hearing is now over.

Meanwhile in Georgia, attorneys representing Trump and some of his co-defendants in his Georgia election racketeering case are convincing a judge in Atlanta to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) and her office over a romantic relationship — which is being detailed in court — between Willis and a top prosecutor on the case, Nathan Wade.
