Alaska Airlines resumed its operations early Monday after grounding all flights for approximately three hours because of a technical outage.

The “temporary, system-wide ground stop” began at approximately 8 p.m. PDT and applied to all Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights. By 11 p.m. PDT, the ground stop had been lifted, Alaska Airlines said in a statement.

“As we reposition our aircraft and crews, there will most likely be residual impacts to our flights. It will take some time to get our overall operations back to normal,” the statement read.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport.”

The Alaska Airlines website indicates that its fleet includes 238 Boeing 737 aircraft and 87 Embraer E175 aircraft, including 45 operated by Horizon Air and 42 operated by SkyWest Airlines.

Alaska Airlines grounded its Seattle flights for a few hours last September after experiencing “significant disruptions” from a technology problem, The Associated Press noted.
